Hala Safari made our family’s trip to the Naivasha area and the Masai Mara truly unforgettable. From the start, Samia and her team took time to understand exactly what we were hoping for, offering thoughtful options and answering every question until we felt confident we had designed the right experience for us. Our two drivers, Kim and Matu, were exceptional — knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely wonderful with our kids. They had an extraordinary instinct for knowing where to find animals, and because of them we saw the Big Five, witnessed the Great Migration, and had remarkable encounters with animals that are notoriously difficult to spot, including cheetahs and leopards. We would not have had these kind of sightings without Kim and Matu’s expertise. And the small touches mattered: the team prepared activity books and colored pencils for our children to track animals and learn facts along the way, which kept them engaged and made the drives even more meaningful for them. Olimba Camp in the Mara was a destination in itself — a special place that added so much to the overall experience. One note for anyone wondering: Hala Safari is not exclusively for Muslim travelers. We are not Muslim, and it was never a consideration — just an exceptional safari company.
